This Series is "The" Reference for Stamp Collectors

The Scott Postage Stamp Catalog Sections (the 7 major ones) are THE references
for stamp collectors and sellers alike. I update my volumes only every few
years,as the newest volumes are expensive for the individual (they are
available in many library collections though). Used volumes 1-2 years old
are attractively priced and should satisfy most individual collectors
(retail stamp prices are somewhat out of date,but this is somewhat true
for the newest volumes,although less so). With my acquisition of the 2011
set (updating my 2001-2 volumes) I was delighted to see that all the stamp
illustrations are now in color (and there are many of them). The catalogs
are invaluable in identifying stamps-particularly those from countries whose
language is unfamiliar. They also can provide both history and
a geography lessons. Each stamp,whether pictured or not has a subject
title and color scheme given for it. Finally,the advertisements within
each volume can be helpful in identifying stamp dealers.

I didn't realize these books were available in 'used' condition. They are quite expensive to buy new therefore my husband only purchased this particular Volome about every 5 years. Now that he has passed on and I am in the process of evaluating his collection for auction this more recent issue is a great help to me.

If you are a computer science student or advance programmer, you should get this book. The diagrams and descriptions in the book give you insights of the advance programming which would help you. However you may get confused because the examples in the book is using the programming language Eiffel. You would like this book if and only if you like hard coding.

Steamy romance

The book starts with us meeting Callie. Her family is very wealthy and expect Callie to marry Stuart. Their parents decided at birth that they would marry so even though they have no feelings for each other, they are expected to marry. Callie's father wants her to marry Stuart because he believes that only a man can be CEO of his company so Callie can't have the job but her husband can.

Tag and Callie had a thing for each other in high school but didn't let the other know. After graduation, Tag went into the military and hasn't been back since. His brother, Levi, is also in the military but is missing so Tag goes back to his home town to look for him there. He doesn't have any luck so decides to look up Callie while he's there. He finds out she's engaged when he checked her out on-line.

I don't want to give anything away so I'm jumping forward to Tag going to Callie with some pictures. Very quickly Callie is no longer engaged and hooks up with Tag.

This is a very steamy romance that will get you squirming just reading it. It's got a good story line too, with some suspenseful moments and lots of surprises. I loved Callie. I liked her spunk and outgoing nature. Even though she lived a pampered life she stuck up for herself with her parents and didn't always do what they expected of her. I was drawn to Tag. He was clearly an alpha male but was unsure of Callie's feeling for him at times. I like that in a hero.

I must admit I'm not a fan of serials but I will definitely be buying the next book.

The book ends on a cliff hanger so be forewarned about that.

This is a quick hot ride. Callie is expected to marry a man to run her father's company. She finds out he is not what she thought and begins to think about a life on her own. She runs into an old crush, Tag, and together they start an adventure. Tag is not from her class but he falls for her. He includes her in the security company run by Tag and his brothers. They get their HEA but the backstory continues. I look forward to reading the next installment.

Blade lives

Blade is an ultra rarity in the comic world. The only time he's ever really worked in comics is when Marv Wolfman created him in the 70's for the original Tomb of Dracula, yet the character has translated to a trilogy of films (ranging from excellent to average) with Wesley Snipes in the title role, and since then, a number of new Blade comics have been started; all of which winding up getting cancelled. Things appear to be different this time around, with promising screenwriter Marc Guggenheim (Wolverine) at the helm and Howard Chaykin (American Century, Bite Club) providing the artwork. Make no mistake that there's nothing bad at all about this new take on Blade, which finds the seemingly invincible vampire hunter doing what he does best, while flashbacks to his past are shown intermediately as well. As a whole, Guggenheim's story works, but the breakneck pace of his storytelling makes it easy to get lost in the action. There's appearances from Spider-Man, Dr. Doom, Wolverine, Morbius the Living Vampire, and even Dracula himself to boot as Blade runs afoul of vamps, body jumping demons, and even S.H.I.E.L.D. as well in the midst of the Civil War. Howard Chaykin's artwork however is the definite lowpoint of Undead Again, as the veteran writer/artist appears to be on somewhat of a downward slide, but hopefully, this isn't the case considering the body of work he has under his belt. All in all, there's nothing really special about this first TPB of the new Blade series, but considering what's come before it, this new take is quite refreshing.

Best Blade in years

I've read several different incarnations of Blade from the early 90's onward, and this series is by far the best. It combines the best aspects of the Blade character from the earlier comics with the best aspects from Wesley Snipes' screen portrayal to create the ultimate Blade. The storyline and dialogue are great, and there's plenty of suckhead killing action to satisfy fans of the films. I love the artwork as well, just be warned that the cover art looks completely different from the art inside, although both are awesome. I highly recommend buying this and Vol.2 to finish the series. It's a shame it only ran 12 issues. Overall, it's the best Blade in years and a great read.

BLADE the vampire hunter

This is one of the best stories I've read featuring the character Blade, but the action is kind of minimal. I had no idea Blade could be so versatile. He runs afoul of Dr. Doom, Wolverine and Spiderman himself and by the end of it all finds out who his real father is: a ruthless vampire named Cross. A nice sequence featuring Blade's mother giving birth and the now infamous Deacon Frost interrupting the birth to bite his mother.

Very good, but only buy it if you are a blade fan.
