I'm actually somewhat disappointed by this book

I'm actually somewhat disappointed by this book. I have both the study guide and this question book. There are a lot of questions in this book that are exact duplicates of questions in the end-of-chapter quizzes and the end-of-book practice test in the study guide. I expected this book to be completely different questions, but it isn't. Bummer.

I used this to test/evaluate my comprehension of the materials from the study guide of the same author. It certainly helped with the exam preparation. Don't expect the questions to be one to one match to the exam, I think may be 80% closely. But the practice exam guide will help you to firm up your understanding. Passed on first attempt!

If you read book one you ached for book two..

Then you get there and the madness begins. Diego is off the chain. He's very over the top with his control issues. Alpha male to the tenth power, almost to the point of abusive. This book smears the line between love and abuse. You want him to turn out to be a hero, and he does but not when you need him to emotionally. The ending could have been better, what the hell was he doing for all the months he was missing, take us there, we wanted to see the action that warranted his sudden neglect. Sierra lost me with that ending. Oh, all the lengthy flash backs that were copy and pasted from book one annoyed me to no end. I read book one and could re-read it if I needed to! However, I don't regret this purchase.

I guess I must be the lone voice of dissention here. I read both stories in this series and I have to say both made me nauseous. To imagine a beautiful successful woman, especially a black woman, who would subject herself to such treatment, just irks me like nothing else. For me this was a classic abusive relationship--him isolating her from friends and family, clamoring for all her attention and using her body like his own personal fun factory. There isn't enough "love" in this world to allow someone to treat you like property.

Diego, admittedly, had issues and reasons for his behavior but that to me is still no excuse to treat another person the way he treated Marcella but that fact that she took it and kept going back disturbed me. All the positive reviews do as well. What's positive about this portrayal? Love should not look are feel anything like this. A mutual love and respect is necessary for real love and I saw very little of that in this tale. I appreciate that the author had a vision but for me something like this just pushes my limits of acceptance.

So much drama from the couple and their friends

I found the crying, screaming, man-handling could have been handled with Diego going to anger management. Marcella should have stopped the crying, tugging against him and simply demanded appreciation and respect by making him say 'thank you' and 'please' and dousing his crazy anger with a few 'yes, Papi'.

As for Marie and Alexandra, a lady named Karma paid them visit.

NOTE: The problems listed below are specific to the iPad, and it is my understanding that they do not exist in the iBooks version. I have upgraded my rating to reflect the fact that the Kindle software -- not Hornady -- is to blame for these shortcomings.

I have the printed version of this book as well so I knew, generally, what to expect. Newcomers should be aware that only Hornady bullets are listed, although this is neither surprising nor particularly detrimental.

I was disappointed to find that the user is not given the ability to search, which would be a tremendous asset in a reference volume such as this. The consolation for this loss is that a caliber's data can be found by clicking on its name in the Table of Contents. This utility, however, is lessened by the fact that each trip to the Contents requires you to first digitally thumb past four unrelated pages before reaching the list of calibers.

Substantially more disappointing is the inability to create bookmarks. I should be able to bookmark the calibers that I load, so I'm not constantly having to click here and swipe there in order to once again find frequently accessed data.

Not for tablet use

Hornady's engineering (and Emery's) superb!! However, the Kindle version is over-lawyered to the point where the recommended accessory is eye surgery, specatcles, and a magnifying glass. Unreadable on my HP Slate 7 table. They need to get out of the windows 95 era.

I will have to buy the print version for actual use.

Formatting Problems

This is a good book but the Kindle version has some serious formatting issues in certain areas of the book. Some charges will not show up in B & W, and in a couple of areas the pages are out sized. PG 860 for example
